Breast Lift
Breast lifts are extremely effective for patients looking to reverse the effects of gravity and aging. Patients will not only have a raised bust line, but a reshaped one that lends a beautiful new contour to their body. There are many reasons women consider a breast lift. Dr. John Michael Quinn often performs this procedure on women who:
- Have lost a significant amount of weight
- Have breast-fed and experience sagging
- Are unhappy with the positioning of their areolas
- Have experienced a slow sagging over time
If you're a healthy woman who wants to reverse the effects of time by lifting sagging breasts, a breast lift is a good breast surgery option for you.
Breast lift surgery takes between one and three hours. Dr. Quinn will mark your breasts in advance of surgery in order to provide guidelines for incisions that will be made during surgery. Dr. Quinn will then begin the procedure, making the incisions and removing any excess skin. At this point, the procedure may or may not include inserting breast implant materials to restore the breast to its original shape and fullness. The breast lift may involve moving nipples and/or resizing the areolas.
When surgery is completed, the incisions will be sealed and you'll be able to begin recovery. This surgery requires anesthesia so you will need someone to drive you home following the procedure.
With the breast lift, as with any breast augmentation surgery, communication with Dr. Quinn is key so that you understand the procedure, the result and the aftermath. Make sure you discuss your goals - and your expectations - upfront with the surgeon. Contact us today.
