Our plastic surgeon, Dr. John Michael Quinn, has over twenty years of experience in performing procedures on patients of all ages and body types. Meet Dr. John Michael Quinn, Overland Park-area Plastic Surgeon
Dr. John Michael Quinn serves Overland Park, Kansas City, and surrounding areas as an experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He prides himself on his ability to truly listen to his patients in order to achieve the results they desire. Patients have direct access to Dr. Quinn and his staff members; indeed, Dr. Quinn enjoys one-on-one communication with his patients and answering their questions because it is such an important part of improving their lives with effective cosmetic treatment.
Dr. Quinn has been a practicing plastic surgeon for over 20 years. In that time, he has learned how to achieve beautiful and natural-looking results for his patients by customizing his procedures to fit their needs and goals for surgery. Dr. Quinn is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is married and has five children.

Amy Showalter - Medical Assistant
Originally from the greater Kansas City area, Amy has worked with Dr. Quinn since 2005 as his medical assistant and general “right hand.” She coordinates surgery, pre-certification, and patient care, and she serves as adjunct and post-approval study coordinator. She has been in the medical field since 1993 and has worked as an EMT, a volunteer firefighter, and a surgical technician for labor and delivery. She is married with three children.
Suzanne Stadlman - Patient Care Coordinator
Suzanne is a former patient of Dr. Quinn. After being treated by him, she knew instantly that she wanted to be part of his team. In 2005, Suzanne began to work with Dr. Quinn as his front office coordinator. Suzanne is the proud mother of one strapping young man, Dominik. She is known around the office as the CEO of first impressions!
Cheryl A. Spittler - Clinical Care Specialist
Cheryl has worked as the patient care coordinator for Quinn Plastic Surgery Center for the past four years. Her interests include patient education and quality of life issues in women undergoing reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Cheryl is board-certified in emergency nursing and plastic surgical nursing. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Kansas. Presently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Reece Melia - Insurance Specialist
Reece has worked with Dr. Quinn since 2003 as an insurance specialist. She handles accounts receivable, insurance billing, and software support. Reece has been in the medical field for over 20 years and feels right at home at Quinn Plastic Surgery Center. She has lived in the area all her life and is married with three children.
Beverly Pheffer - Certified Medical Assistant and Medical Secretary
Originally from Long Island, New York, Beverly is a certified medical assistant and medical secretary. After living in Oregon for seven years, Beverly moved back to Kansas and has been working in the medical field ever since. She has worked for Dr. Quinn for over eight years, handling both accounts payable and front office work.
Tessa Alexander - Quinn Medical Day Spa Receptionist
Tessa, the Quinn Medical Day Spa receptionist, is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and moved to the Kansas City area after graduating from Missouri State University in 2005. She has been at Quinn Medical Day Spa since 2006.
Becky Isaac - Aesthetician and Certified Thermage® Technician
Our aesthetician and certified Thermage® technician, Becky, is from Lawrence, Kansas, where she owned a salon/day spa for 29 years. She relocated to Kansas City in 2004 to be closer to her family and has been with Quinn Medical Day Spa ever since. She offers microdermabrasion, chemical peels, Thermage® treatments, laser hair removal, and IPL. Becky is also an expert in the GloMinerals™ makeup and Obagi® and Physician’s Complex® skin care lines.
Anne M. Kincaid - Operating Room Nurse
Anne is our operating room nurse and has worked in cosmetic surgery for over 10 years. She has special expertise in patient education and provides both pre-operative and post-operative care. She is a licensed aesthetician and is experienced in performing BOTOX® injections and injecting dermal fillers. Anne is also the proud mother of three children.
Laura Avila - Certified Massage Therapist
Laura is our certified massage therapist. She is from Garden City, Kansas, and she moved to the Kansas City area in 2003 to attend Body Mind Spirit Integration (BMSI) Massage Institute. She offers several varieties of massage, including Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, sports, and reflexology massages. She also specializes in Esalen and lomi-lomi massages and performs body treatments. Laura has been with Quinn Medical Day Spa since 2006.
