Breast Augmentation or Breast Implants

Breast augmentation is a popular procedure that enlarges the size of the breasts. Our Kansas City office is located in Overland Park near Leawood and serves women throughout Kansas City. Breast implants come in two forms - silicone breast implants and saline breast implants. During breast augmentation surgery, incisions are made beneath the breast or in the underarm area. Dr. Quinn creates a small pocket within each breast into which the breast implants are inserted. Once the breast implants are in place, the incisions are closed.

Breast Lift

After years of taking care of other people, many Kansas City women opt for breast lift surgery to restore the sexy and feminine look and feeling they deserve. The breast lift procedure is usually done in conjunction with breast augmentation and involves incisions that are made horizontally along the undersides of the breasts, around the areolas, and in vertical lines from the areolas to the bottoms of the breasts. Through these incisions, Dr. Quinn removes excess skin and, if the breast augmentation patient desires, adds breast implants to restore lost volume and create a shapelier look. The incisions are then closed, and the breasts look firmer and more youthful.

Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction is a type of breast augmentation that restores the look and feel of natural breasts following a mastectomy. The breast reconstruction procedure involves fitting a patient with a tissue expander if she wishes to use only her own breast skin to cover the implant, or using body tissue in the breast area. Once there is sufficient tissue to cover the breast, Dr. Quinn places the implant or implants so that they appear natural.
