Refresh Your Look By Refreshing Your Face

Because our face is the first thing many people notice when seeing us whether for the first time or every day, it can be embarrassing to have to live with facial flaws. For some, this may simply be dissatisfaction with dull or dry skin, while for others the problems may be more serious, including facial scars or acne-related damage. Skin rejuvenation and resurfacing options may offer significant relief for these and many other skin conditions. Skin rejuvenation options range from laser treatments, to chemical peels, to at-home skin care systems.

Facial Skin Conditions Treatable Through Skin Rejuvenation Treatments

A number of skin conditions are treatable with skin rejuvenating procedures. Exactly what type of problems are treatable depend on the particular treatment option chosen. The most common facial skin problems treated include:

Wrinkles: Facial wrinkles are either static or dynamic. Static wrinkles are those that are always visible and do not change regardless of how you move your face. Dynamic wrinkles, however, are those that typically are always visible but appear to deepen when you move your face.

Scars: Scars resulting from acne, injuries, or other conditions can appear pitted, discolored, or flat, or raised.

Vascular conditions: The appearance of blood vessels and vascular lesions may cause distress when they become visible on the face. They may result in blisters filled with blood or a constant red tone.

Loss of skin tone: Loss of skin tone is a natural part of the aging process as the underlying collagen and elastin weaken.

Treatment Options Available For Common Facial Skin Flaws

Quinn Aesthetic Center offers a number of non-invasive treatments and procedures to treat your skin conditions. Many involve prescription-grade skin care products, sometimes called cosmeceuticals. Your options range from in-office treatments and procedures to take-home skin cleansing and conditioning systems. Some of your options include:

HydraFacialMD™: HydraFacialMD™ is a resurfacing treatment designed to refresh, moisturize, and soothe the skin. The process involves cleansing, exfoliating, extracting toxins and debris, and hydrating with Vortex-Fusing™ antioxidants and peptides, as well as hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in the skin but diminishes with aging. HydraFacialMD™ goes beyond many other treatment options in that it not only improves the visible quality of the skin, but actually makes the skin healthier in the process.

Microdermabrasion: Microdermabrasion helps stimulate new skin growth by exfoliating away damaged, dry, or rough skin cells in order to uncover fresh, new skin with a healthy glow. Microdermabrasion may also improve collagen growth.

Chemical peels: With options including Illuminize Peel™, Vitalize Peel®, Rejuvenize Peel™, Melanage™ MiniPeel, and Quelage™ Peel you have the ability to customize your treatment to your particular needs, as each is formulated with different strengths of acids and some are able to be customized further. Typically a series of three peels is ideal. Chemical peels are also easily combined with other treatments such as surgical procedures and injectable fillers.

BBL Photo Facial: Broad Band Light (BBL) Photo Facial makes use of a xenon flash lamp to target areas of dark pigmentation on the skin. BBL Photo Facial may be tailored to treat specific needs and flaws, resulting in a smoother, more even skin tone.

SkinMedica® Skin Care: SkinMedica® is a cosmeceutical skin care line designed to be used in combination with in-office treatments or on its own at home. Products in the SkinMedica® Skin Care line include moisturizers, cleansers, chemical peels, and more.

Clear + Brilliant: Clear + Brilliant is a skincare regime of gentle laser treatments that ward off signs of aging, adding to a smooth, radiant glow. The fractional laser technology precisely targets unhealthy and damaged cells to repair the skin from the inside out.
