When skin is young, it is resilient, soft, and supple. With time, environmental damage, stressors, genetics, and a wide variety of other factors can diminish our youthful volume and transform tight skin to appear gaunt, tired, or aged.
The leading causes of facial wrinkles are a loss of skin volume, repeated facial movements, and a loss of skin elasticity. Thankfully, with dermal injections of Radiesse, our patients can turn back the clock and restore their facial volume.
Erase your wrinkles and return your face to a more youthful contour with Radiesse. Results achieved with Radiesse can last for over a year! To learn more about how Radiesse keeps our patients looking young and feeling great, contact us today to schedule a one-on-one consultation.

Radiesse is a popular, FDA-approved method of smoothing wrinkles, adding facial volume, and contouring the face.
Radiesse is what is known as a dermal filler. A dermal filler is an injectable treatment specifically formulated to restore facial volume and replicate the conditions of healthy skin. Radiesse, when injected into targeted areas of the face, adds noticeable but natural-looking volume. Radiesse is an excellent way to smooth patient’s facial wrinkles, especially the lines that commonly form along the corner of the nose and mouth, also known as nasolabial folds.
Radiesse’s main ingredient is calcium hydroxylapatite, a biocompatible element found naturally in our bones and teeth. No allergy test is required: calcium hydroxylapatite is well-accepted by the body. Unlike other injectables, which can begin breaking down within four to six months, Radiesse’s unique formula will continue to rejuvenate your appearance for a year or more.
Treatment with Radiesse will continue to improve the glow and healthy volume of your skin for far longer than a year. This is because, in addition to adding volume and improving your facial contour, Radiesse stimulates the production of collagen in your skin. Collagen is a vital component of full, youthful skin, but our body slows down its collagen production as we age.
Radiesse jumpstarts your body’s natural processes, restoring supportive, volumizing collagen to your skin. Your new collagen will help your skin become fuller, tighter, and healthier. Patients see an improvement in their skin health for the next two years!
What Can Radiesse Treat?
Radiesse smooths away the signs of facial aging, including:
- Smile lines
- Marionette lines
- Sunken temples or cheeks
- Nasolabial folds
- Chin wrinkles
Radiesse can also restore volume to the backs of patients’ hands, reducing the visibility of veins and ligaments.
In some cases, Radiesse can fill in scars and dimpling. The collagen-building effects can achieve long-term improvement.
If you have mild to moderate wrinkles that you would like to address, you may be a good candidate for Radiesse. Patients who would like to add subtle but noticeable volume to their face, whether to address age-related volume-loss or to achieve a cosmetic preference, will be good candidates for Radiesse. Radiesse is also a good option for patients seeking to restore volume to their hands.
Candidates who will see their best results are those who are non-smokers who are in overall good health and are at a stable weight. Patients who have pre-existing conditions which interfere with their body’s ability to heal will want to speak to our Nurse Injector about their skin rejuvenation options.
Candidates who are pregnant or breastfeeding should wait before receiving Radiesse.
Candidates should maintain an open mindset towards the outcomes of any cosmetic procedure.
Facial Rejuvenation at Quinn Medical Day Spa
We are proud to offer a variety of skin rejuvenation services to our patients. No two patients are the same, and we want to make sure the care you receive is exactly right for you. Our treatments are highly individualized according to what is right for your body.
Some of our most popular skin rejuvenation options include:
Like Radiesse, Juvederm is a dermal filler. Its main ingredient is hyaluronic acid, another naturally-occurring component of our bodies. Juvederm injections restore facial volume, as well as fill in and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Juvederm comes in a variety of formulas to target the different characteristics of aging in different parts of the face, like the brows, cheeks, and lips. Results can last from six months to a year, or more, depending on the type of injection chosen and the patient’s unique body.
Neuromodulators, like Botox and Xeomin, are injectables which can also target and smooth patient’s facial wrinkles. If a wrinkle is caused by the repeated use of a facial muscle, or by muscle tension, Botox and Xeomin will relax the muscle, effectively smoothing away the resulting wrinkle. This type of wrinkle is what is known as a dynamic wrinkle. Static wrinkles are those which form as a result of skin laxity and loss of volume. Many patients see their best results by combining treatment of Botox or Xeomin with their dermal fillers, effectively eliminating both their dynamic and static wrinkles.
If patients do not have pronounced lines or wrinkles, but would like to improve their facial volume, they can revive their skin with microneedling. During a microneedling treatment, very thin, fine needles are inserted into targeted areas of the skin. The needles create “micro wounds,” which promote skin healing while leaving as much surrounding tissue untouched as possible.
Based on your desired treatment, the needles can be adjusted to different lengths. The needles will reach the level of your skin responsible for collagen production. In the months following your microneedling, skin volume and clarity will improve as your new skin rises to the surface. The microchannels will help accelerate your skin renewal.
Patients who are interested in tightening their skin and addressing facial wrinkles may be good candidates for the benefits of other procedures we offer, like ThermiSmooth, BBL PhotoFacial, or a Chemical Peel.
If patients have more advanced facial aging, they may see their best results from surgical interventions, like a facelift or eyelid surgery.
Our Nurse Injector can recommend what skin rejuvenation treatments will be best for your individual case. If you have any questions about your options in the fight against aging, call Quinn Medical Day Spa today.

Your Radiesse Treatment
Most Radiesse treatments can be completed in twenty minutes, depending on the extent of work that you will be receiving.
Radiesse is quick and comfortable to receive.
Before your Radiesse procedure, your skin will be cleansed. You can decide to receive a topical or local anesthetic if you wish, to keep you comfortable during your treatment. Following your approved treatment plan, your injection specialist will carefully inject controlled amounts of Radiesse into the targeted areas of your face or hands using a fine needle.
Patients notice that their skin looks immediately fuller and smoother following their treatment with Radiesse!
Patients are free to return to their daily schedules immediately after they receive Radiesse. Patients can experience swelling after their treatment, but this will abate within the first two days. Some patients may decide to take a day or two off work until their swelling subsides, but this is a matter of patient preference. Patients can do intermittent ice application to reduce their swelling.
Avoid activities for the first two days which could overuse your lower facial muscles, including chewing excessively, yelling, or using a straw.
Results of treatment with Radiesse will become apparent as post-procedure swelling diminishes. Patients will enjoy skin that is full, smooth, and youthful-looking! Radiesse will successfully fill and smooth a patient’s targeted wrinkles and restore lost facial volume. Your injector will take care to add volume in a way that both addresses wrinkles and compliments the natural balance of your facial features.
After receiving Radiesse, patients look revived and peaceful, like they’ve come back from a long retreat: no one will be able to tell you’ve had any “work” done!
The results of Radiesse will continue to improve in the months following your treatment as the Radiesse solution jumpstarts your collagen production, improving the health and volume of your deep skin.
Results with Radiesse can last as long as one to two years. Patients who are interested in prolonging the results they receive with Radiesse can discuss maintenance treatment options with our Nurse Injector.
The cost of your Radiesse treatment will depend on the details of your procedure, such as the number of vials used and whether or not you will combine Radiesse with complementary treatments. Once you complete your consultation at Quinn Medical Day Spa, you will receive a cost breakdown that reflects your individualized treatment plan.
